Poseidon Revelation

I think I know why the movie Poseidon was directed the way it was.

With fewer people in the later scenes, the fewer the lines the scriptwriters have to create. Plus, with fewer characters there will be fewer costumes too. Basically what we're looking at is lower costs.

The movie started off with a ship-load of people, then a maverick decided to find a way to escape on his own and ended up having a bunch of other people tagging along with him. 2 died along the way, but at the end, you are left with what, 6 /7 people? So from hundreds down to 6... (everyone else died on the ship as it sunk)

Pretty genius, I have to admit.
